SFA Earns Level 5 Maryland EXCELS!

The Preschool program of St. Francis of Assisi School, located in Northeast Baltimore, has been formally recognized by the Maryland State Department of Education as among the very best in the state!  MSDE awarded SFA's Pre-K the highest available rating of Level 5 as part of the Maryland EXCELS ratings system.  Only 5 other child care centers (out of over 300) within the City of Baltimore hold this distinction.  A period of self-study and commitment towards reaching specific child care standards of excellence were required to achieve this level of recognized quality.

Principal John D'Adamo noted, "We are very proud of our team for receiving this recognition.  A great amount of dedication goes into our program everyday to nurture our youngest learners.  We've always known our program was exceptional, but it's certainly wonderful to have it acknowledged by the state in this way."

St. Francis of Assisi School offers Pre-K for students ages 2 through 4 as well as child care before and after school.  For more information, please contact Pre-K Director Katie Kerr at kerrk@sfa-school.org.

SFA also offers a full K-8 educational program, including the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program for grades 6-8.  For more information, please contact Director of Admissions Carol Will at willc@sfa-school.org.
