Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Students in preschool through 3rd grade participate in this Montessori-based religion formation program once a week. They have a special room, called an atrium, prepared just for this purpose. Handmade materials help students learn about prayer, scripture, and liturgy through peaceful, hands-on activities.

"What I've learned in the atrium is that Jesus is joy. Pure joy! Pure hope! Pure love! He is Jesus." -- 3rd Grade student.

The America Magazine article, The Faith of a Child, provides a detailed overview of this program.
