Our learning extends beyond our campus into the 375 acres of woodlands of the adjacent Herring Run Park and the 1.3 mile fitness loop around nearby Lake Montebello. In addition to regular use of the park for gym classes and recreation, Saint Francis offers the following extra-curricular athletic options:
- CYO Soccer: From the age of 3 through the age of 14, children can participate in youth soccer through the SFA Athletic Association, one of the largest youth athletic organizations in the city. Our teams often take first place in their respective age categories.
- Cross Country: In the fall, students from 4th through 8th grade learn the basics of cross country running under the guidance of experienced coaches. Each year, they compete with schools from across the Archdiocese in a competition hosted by Archbishop Curley High School.
- Track and Field: Every spring, elementary and middle school students practice for the annual Youth Bowl at Archbishop Curley. They compete in activities such as the long jump, relay races, and various running events.
